Your role as backend developer.

As a backend developer at Moonly, you focus every day on developing, testing and maintaining next-level software for our clients. Since we aim for long-term partnerships, you and your team play an active part in our clients’ ongoing success. 

Because we use the SCRUM method and work in two-week sprints, we have frequent contact with our clients. This means you and your team can quickly make adjustments when needed and always know what to focus on each day. By reviewing your colleagues’s code, we keep getting better and maintain a sharp eye on our work before anything goes to the client. 

We work in specialized teams on a wide range of projects, so you’ll get to collaborate with many different colleagues and everyone gets to play to their strengths. Want to specialize further in a particular area? Just let us know, and we’ll think along with you about how to reach your goals. Personal development really matters to us.

Who are we looking for

We’re looking for a great colleague who works well independently but really shines as a part of a team. You’re motivated to build the best product for our clients and help your teammates to grow too. Complex projects bring a sparkle to your eyes.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor-level working and thinking skills (HBO or equivalent) 
  • Solid knowledge of, and experience with, PHP and the Laravel framework
  • Experience with database systems such as MySQL and MongoDB
  • Familiar with version control systems such as Git
  • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
  • Good command of the Dutch language
