Are you looking for a research internship where your technical research genuinely matters? At Moonly, you’ll explore a complex technical challenge within our company or at one of our clients.

You’ll have the freedom to set up your research independently, explore technical possibilities and turn your findings into a well-founded recommendation, design, prototype or proof of concept. Of course, you won’t be doing it alone: you’ll be guided by experienced developers and contribute to questions that matter to the organisation.

You’re passionate about DevOps and automation and curious about what it’s like to help build professional, custom-made solutions. You’re comfortable asking questions, enjoy sharing ideas and see mistakes as opportunities to learn rather than setbacks. You also recognise yourself in the following:

You’re studying Software Development, ICT, Computer Science or a related subject at a university of applied sciences.
You’re available for an internship of at least five months.
You want to keep developing, both technically and personally.
You can work independently, but actively seek out collaboration with your team.
If you have to do something manually twice, you’ll script it the third time. You love automation and want to learn how to get software into production reliably and securely.
You’ve worked with Docker, servers or cloud environments before, and you’re keen to discover how to build scalable infrastructure using CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.

We want you to get as much as possible out of your internship. That’s why, at Moonly, you’ll receive proper guidance, clear expectations and room to develop.

You’ll have a dedicated internship supervisor you can turn to with questions about your research, planning and development. You’ll also work closely with experienced developers who will help you think through technical decisions, research methods and possible solutions.

Every two weeks, we’ll set aside time to talk about how things are going, what challenges you’re facing and what steps will help move your research forward.

At Moonly, you won’t be watching from the sidelines. You’ll work on digital solutions for real clients and users, where what you research, test or build could become part of a product people actually use.

That’s why your internship assignment isn’t fully defined in advance. Together, we’ll look at your interests and technical ambitions, as well as challenges our clients are facing where your contribution could make a real difference. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of a clearly defined part of a project, with the right guidance and the trust to make decisions, ask questions and bring your ideas to the table.

By the end of your internship, you’ll have more than new skills to look back on. You’ll also have a tangible result you can be proud of.
